In 2007, after founding an online male grooming business (www.made4men.dk), together with my business partner Jesper Hvejsel, we soon came across the new invention Razorpit.
We decided to buy the patent from the inventor and form a new business entity headed by me and focusing on the creation of what was to become the global brand Razorpit. Over the years it seems like we turned every stone looking for opportunities to get our product out there. Getting it in front of buyers and when getting the listings also get the product to move from the shelf or product catalog. However so many stones have been turned, we find ourself discovering new opportunities every day.
We keep learning from all our partners who all come with different backgrounds and experiences. As we grew and we passed 1 million Razorpit sold we started working with other brands as well – as a master distributor securing international growth for niche- and upcoming brands – We found that we could utilize the partner network established for Razorpit to help other entrepreneurs, just like us, to take a shortcut to international growth. Today we have a multitude of great people working besides Jesper and I. In early 2016 a our General Manager, Henrik Ahlgren, joined Firtal Distribution as a shareholder. Henrik comes with a background of 29 years in retail.
Having worked his way up in various positions at three major retail chains, most recently as a concept development manager covering 19 countries, he knows every aspect of offline distribution and concept development. He is a really strong capacity with a customer centric mindset. In 2015 we participated in the TV-show Lions Den – The Danish version of Shark Tank. Here we got investments from three Lions (Sharks) and received the biggest single investment ever given in the TV format across Europe.
